Как это ни странно, но мне пришел ответ от Mayo Clinic на письмо которое я не писал (кто-то ошибся с обратным адресом):
Thank you for your email. In the last 24 hours, we have received many comments regarding an email Dr. Aivars Slucis, a radiologist at Albert Lea Medical Center, part of Mayo Health System, sent in 2009 to Latvia’s foreign minister Mr. Valdis Kristovskis, then a member of the European Parliament. We take this situation seriously and have talked with Dr. Slucis regarding the nature, tone and perception of his comments. The views expressed were his personal opinion. They do not represent the views of Mayo Clinic or Albert Lea Medical Center. Once we learned of his comments, we immediately began an internal review. We are continuing to review this situation.
The diversity and mutual respect standards of Albert Lea Medical Center and Mayo Clinic unequivocally reflect how we deliver care to all people, regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, veteran’s status or status with regard to public assistance.
Sincerely;
Stacey

Question or Comment: “Dear Sir or Madam, I would like to express my concern regarding the letter by Dr. Aivars Slucis that recently became public. In his letter, Dr. Slucis admits that as a physician, [he] “cannot treat equally Russians and Latvians”, which I personally find apalling and wildly inappropriate idea short of racist. What are Dr. Slucis’ standpoint regarding patients of other races and nationalities, one might ask? The fallout of this controversial letter has already been huge in Latvia, and it has every chance to become a full-blown international scandal. In the aforementioned letter, Dr. Slucis is using his official e-mail address at mayo.edu, which obviously ties his outrageous declarations to the name of Mayo Clinic, which I am sure is a reputable institution. I am sure you will take appropriate action to protect the honest name of Mayo Clinic. Best regards, Dr.Conscience”
